A doula "mothers the mother"! She gently supports a woman and her partner throughout the birth and immediately after. A doula brings a calming influence. She offers encouragement and reassurance, physical comfort measures and information regarding the birth process. A doula does not replace the partner. The partner is invaluable to the birth experience. Instead, she demonstrates how to best care for the mother and supports the partner so he feels comfortable and successful in his role. Its a win-win situation!

Labor of Love Doula Package includes:

* Free interview

* One to two prenatal visits in your home

* Assistance with birth plan

* Lending library of childbirth and breastfeeding books

* On-call availability for questions or concerns

* 24-hour on-call status beginning several weeks prior to your estimated date of delivery

* Continuous labor support starting at time determined by client, including support in your home

* Support of initial breastfeeding

* One postpartum visit
